China’s revival in Global Governance Participation

In times of American Free Trade Agreement cancellations and inner-European frictions from growing discomfort of German hegemony President Xi Jingpin’s explanation that a World View could help all seems like light at the end of a tunnel! It is so symptomatic for Germanic deterministic think patterns when Sigmar Gabriel, German Minister for external affairs recently conspired about China’s Belt and Road Initiative to pursue hegemony over European Territories via its 16+1 agenda. This just needs to be interpreted by the old saying: “What Peter says about Hans tells more about Peter than Hans”! Cooperation within the Belt and Road Initiative hasn’t and won’t impose additional conditions – it just endeavors to reinstate connectivity of at least the 221 cities which are now in some dozens of countries with up-to-date infrastructures for building a community of shared future for mankind that is able to unite people around this world. And it is an invitation to every connectable Nation or Economic Union to contribute towards building such a community for long term peace and prosperity by chastening inequalities through qualitative economic growth and environmental protection. Ever since such former connectivity from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) the so called now developed world consummated our planet’s metabolism to an extent that there is no more head room left for developing and emerging Nations to thrive out of poverty by continuing to do more of the same. Although China had tried an isolation policy like currently imputed to Donald Trump from 1420-1911, Chinese people prior to the closure had a much clearer understanding of the outside world than most Americans today.
Rebuilding ancient connectivity under China’s meanwhile Communist Party’s core agenda represents the largest scope of mankind. It passes through over 60 countries housing 60% of global population that lag behind with its total world economic contribution of 30% only. And the aims of China’s ruling party are not territorial. It’s simply to eradicate poverty by 2035 and stabilize peace. It has always been proven that economic relations can build bridges that politics often teere down. Also from an effectivity point of view trust in mutual development of interconnected infrastructure saves from lavishly creating parallel structures or left room for strategies by deliberate bottlenecks. The Belt and Road Initiative is primarily targeted towards closing Infrastructure gaps between Asian countries causing inequalities across Central and Southern Asia today. And 237 projects are already on their way. China currently extends its 22,000km railway network to 150,000km until 2030. Since the initiative’s existence China Development Bank has already invested U$9.5bln in Europe compared to CN¥150bln within all Belt and Road countries. So the Belt and Road Initiative is about teaming up between all the possible participants and nothing else. It is just too big to afford any deceits and concealments of hidden imperialistic intentions. Therefore President Xi Jingping always speaks of a development in an organic way guided by a balanced win-win consensus among participants’ interest to help their people lead a happy life.
Because of the dynamics the Belt and Road Initiative will unlock, its initiators strongly advocate and arrange for Low-Carbon Eco-Civilization Infrastructure Innovation. The last 40 years of China’s rise was owed to Western greed and ease to abuse Free Trade Agreements for transferring productive capacities that domestically lost competitive edge into the Lower Labor Cost Country that would promise the fastest ramp-up after relocation, not giving time for creating sustainable Infrastructures. And because China’s endeavors towards remedying some of the worse consequences thereof were not honored by Western Technology providers’ latest state of the art contributions, China now has acclaimed Infrastructure Innovation to target for a made in China 2025 branding! Which actually means that China wants to actively secure the future infrastructure sustainability standards. And I feel much honored by China’s expressions of interest for Carbotopia! It obviously was perceived as what it is – it is a key to a much more sustainable world providing qualitative growth from turning today’s lavish Carbon squandering into local closed loop economies by Carbon Circularity.
